Since Suzanne Peppell, ND, opened her private practice in 2000, she’s helped people find healthier ways to live. By combining her knowledge of modern medicine with natural therapeutics, Suzanne helps clients harness the natural healing abilities of their own bodies.
Natural techniques, such as nutrition, botanical medicine and homeopathy, help clients achieve optimum health, and are often used in conjunction with traditional medicine. For example:
• Nutrition and herbs help minimize the harsh side effects of necessary treatments, such as radiation and chemotherapy.
• Identifying and eliminating food allergies helps improve digestive health while clients use medications to manage irritable bowel, gall bladder problems, indigestion, and ulcerative colitis.
• Supplemental amino acids (proteins) and herbs can safely and effectively be used on those with anxiety and depression even while taking antidepressants.Suzanne is gifted with the ability to translate complicated and complex concepts into easy-to-understand information, often helping patients understand the results of medical tests.
Suzanne received her Naturopathic Doctor (ND) degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM), the oldest naturopathic medical school in the United States, in 1999. Based in Portland, OR, NCNM is a four-year program of clinical sciences and holistic methods of healing and disease prevention instilled with the ancient principle of the healing power of nature.
In addition, Suzanne completed two years of additional coursework in natural childbirth. To compliment her naturopathic practice, Suzanne is a “doula,” a woman who assists pregnant women and their families during childbirth and in the immediate postpartum period.
Suzanne graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with honors in 1993 from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in English Writing and a minor in Japanese.
She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PANP) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP).
